Amherst Museum, Amherst, New York
The 13th annual Harvest Craft Festival is set in one of Americaıs most unique settings. Artisans are interspersed among the dozen restored 19th century homes, schools, churches and stores on the grounds of the Amherst Museumıs 35-acre park.
Last year, more than 13,000 people attended the indoor/outdoor show, which has the atmosphere of an old fashioned country fair. In addition to the almost 100 artisans selling their handmade items, we also feature many demonstrations including blacksmiths, spinners and weavers. Entertainment includes music and dancing from various eras in U.S. history.
The Harvest Craft Festival also features a farmersı market, pumpkin patches and flowers. A petting zoo, hayrides, farm equipment and games help entertain the children.
Families enjoy the educational setting and shopping for their autumn treasures. This makes Harvest Craft Festival a success for everyone.
The Harvest Craft Festival is centrally located in Amherst, which has one of the highest per capita income demographics in Western New York.
